Typical of the Piennolo tomato are its intensely fruity taste, a natural sweetness with very low acidity, and the somewhat firmer skin that protects the pulp and makes the tomatoes particularly versatile. After harvesting, they are gently processed and preserved in brine to optimally retain their aroma, texture, and freshness.
