Casarecce Pasta di Gragnano I.G.P. from Pastificio Ducato d’Amalfi is a classic pasta shape with roots in Southern Italy and Sicily. Its name is derived from “casa” (house) and symbolically represents homemade pasta. The lightly twisted, rolled shape with open sides resembles a small scroll and is specifically designed to optimally capture sauces and pestos.

This pasta is made exclusively from 100% Italian durum wheat semolina and pure spring water from the Monti Lattari – one of the crucial quality characteristics of authentic Pasta di Gragnano. The dough is slowly processed and pressed through traditional bronze dies, creating the typical rough, porous surface.

The subsequent, particularly gentle drying over several days preserves the aromatic depth, perfect al dente texture, and authentic taste. The result is a high-quality pasta with excellent bite, which ideally complements both rustic and delicate Mediterranean dishes.

Casarecce are considered extremely versatile and are an excellent choice for robust tomato sauces, vegetable sughi, or aromatic pestos.
