Ursini's strained pear tomatoes (Pomodoro a Pera) originate from the Abruzzo region and are made from the locally characteristic Saab-Cra tomato, also known as the pear tomato. This tomato variety is distinguished by its natural sweetness, velvety texture, and high pulp content with few seeds – ideal conditions for a high-quality passata.

Ursini sources the tomatoes exclusively from regional farmers in the surrounding communities of the Costa dei Trabocchi. Immediately after harvesting, they are gently processed to fully preserve their freshness, aroma, and natural texture.

The result is a particularly dense, well-balanced passata with a clear tomato flavor, free from additives, and prioritizing the quality of the raw ingredients used – authentic, pure, and unadulterated.
