Traditional Caponata di Melanzane from Sicily

Frantoi Cutrera's Caponata di Melanzane is one of the most famous specialities of Sicilian cuisine and an integral part of the island's traditional antipasto culture. It combines carefully selected aubergines with olives, capers, and a finely balanced sweet and sour seasoning, typical of Sicily's multicultural culinary tradition.

The ingredients come from Sicily's nutrient-rich soils and are gently cooked according to a proven family recipe to preserve their natural flavours. Refined with extra virgin olive oil, herbs, and spices, the result is a harmonious composition with balanced acidity, delicate sweetness, and an intense vegetable note.
