Traditional Pesto alla Trapanese from Sicily

Frantoi Cutrera's Pesto alla Trapanese is one of the most famous specialties of Western Sicilian cuisine. Originally from the region around Trapani, this pesto is based on sun-ripened tomatoes, finely chopped and refined with Sicilian almonds, extra virgin olive oil, and selected spices.

In contrast to classic basil pesto, Pesto Trapanese convinces with its fresh tomato note, a subtle sweetness from the almonds, and a pleasantly creamy texture. The result is a harmonious, Mediterranean aroma that perfectly reflects the authenticity of Sicily.

An authentic pesto for all who love traditional Sicilian cuisine.
